Hi, just wanted everyone to know that the PETPAC chairman and lobbyist, Bill Hemby, has been at the Capitol daily, usually they have to stay in the hallway where the other lobbyists are milling about. Bill has lobbied for 25 years or so, and knows many members of the legislature. AKC does know dogs but they are not active in the CA legislature and their withdrawl did confuse some of the legislature.

PetPac is a great outfit - I wish they'd update their website more often. They are doing some good work out there.

As for the AKC knowing dogs, well maybe, but caring about dogs? That's a matter of opinion.
