AmStaffs certainly seem to be hardwired to fight with other dogs.

I didn't put the files up earlier because they are big and would take up too much bandwidth. I linked to THS instead. The documents are now available on the public website.

The Attorney General is uncharacteristically quiet this week. Maybe it's because of this. Monday, March 26

The Globe & Mail was the only paper that got it right. Odd. Maybe it's time the others stopped pulling stuff off the wire* and started doing some reporting. Kind of makes you wonder who owns what though, doesn't it?

I'd say somebody has. Hint: It's not the dog owners. Wonder how our Attorney General likes being one-upped in the Tin Pot Sweepstakes? I still can't decide whether the Moscow Times is a backwoods Onion or the real deal. I hope it's the former. Monday, March 19

UPDATE 9:35 am Mar 17 - The FDA has info about Iams and Eukanuba on their site: http://www.fda.gov/oc/po/firmrecalls/pg03_07.html . There's nothing on the Canadian Food Inspection Agency site yet. UPDATE 8:45 am Mar 17: CTVNewsNet mentioned Iams, Eukanuba and Purina on their show this morning. I don't see those brands on the list at MenuFoods so I'm not sure if it's true.
Menu Foods, based in Ontario with plants in the US, is recalling its 'cuts and gravy' foods for dogs and cats. Information about the actual products being recalled will be on the company's website at 6:00 am Saturday, March 17. Here's a link: http://www.menufoods.com/recall If you buy Compliments, Master Choice or other brands of wet foods, be sure to check the list. More details from the Toronto Star. Friday, March 16

One of the dogs in the horrific Florida incident wasn't a 'pit bull'. Apparently it was a Chow. KC Dog Blog has more details. |
