View Article  DEMO THE JUNKYARD DOG

Via email:

"Everybody loves an underdog.  But what happens when the underdog looks dangerous?

Understanding your readers' passion for responsible representation of Pit Bulls, I’d like to introduce a new book that you may have an interest in.

Along with illustrator Scott Bruns, I have written and created Demo: the Story of a Junkyard Dog, a 56-page, hardcover graphic novel for dog lovers young and old.  The story of Demo revolves around a kind-hearted, but ruff and tumble-looking junkyard dog who endures abuse, fearful strangers, and the scariest dog catching-machine ever built, in order to save his detractors from certain doom.  In short, it's a classic underdog tale with a contemporary spin that asks some important questions about over-valuing appearances.

You can preview the project at http://www.demo-dog.com"

I did preview the book and I was impressed.  The illustrations are terrific and the story looks to be a good one for both children and adults.

Go take a look!  And remember - you can't judge a book by its cover.
